Ever since the pandemic, working from home is not taboo any longer. For many years, asking to work from home was considered taboo at least at the companies where I worked.
I was one of the fortunate ones who, at one point in my career, was able to work from home for one day a week. At that time, one day a week was considered a tremendous and hard-to-come-by benefit.
When I asked for a second day working from home it was met with a resounding “No”.
But then the pandemic happened and ever since that time, the powers-that-be at most companies started to realize that workers can be productive working from home part-time or even full-time.
So today, if you look at most jobs on LinkedIn or other job sites, the majority of them are remote jobs especially if your job is computer-based. I am one of the fortunate ones who can now work from home full-time.
Work from home benefits are numerous and over the past few years, work from home office upgrades have become more and more popular and available in the marketplace.
