I work with wood on a regular basis on my free time. I’m not considered an expert woodworker but I like to think of myself as an mid-level woodworker since I have been trained by a master woodworker.

My wife and I have incorporated wood accent walls in our home on a couple of occasions. Love the look of a wood plank wall? We actually built one ourselves. Check out our step-by-step cedar plank accent wall tutorial for exactly how we did it, including tools and cost.

We find accent wall designs create a much-needed focal point in any space. We created a green accent wall in our former home which had a dramatic effect. Wallpaper accent wall ideas are also becoming more and more popular today.

I am always impressed with wood walls since there are so many different species of wood that can be utilized. In particular, I’m a big fan of mahogany, pine, oak, and black walnut. If you’re looking for more of a rustic look incorporating brick accent walls will do the trick.

The wood accent walls provided below hopefully will give you some inspiration to incorporate wood paneling or a slat panel wall into your own home. Master bedrooms with accent wall ideas, bathroom accent wall ideas, living room accent wall ideas, or kitchen accent walls can truly enhance your home in a special way.

Whatever room you want to transform, a wood accent wall will achieve just that!
